Administrative Processing Canada.. anyone waiting over two months?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I would like to know if anyone is in the same boat as me?

7th year H1-B extension stamping in Calgary

Visa date 27th Sep.

My setup is EVC, had vendor letter, no client letter given.

Interviewer asked basic questions and then said we need to do some additional processing will let you know by email, gave back my passport, kept all the rest of the documents, including original 797.

White form given, without any checks for more paperwork, waiting since then.

Tried to contact embassy, but they said we cannot disclose any information before 3 months.

Would like to know if there is any other person in the same boat or is my case a rare one.

Thanks,

Arjun Suri.

Hi Arjun,

I'm very sorry to hear about your case. I've heard that most Admin Processing is cleared between 2 to 3 weeks. Did the VO give you a timeframe? Do you know if this is a security/name check?. Usually in Calgary they get back to you within the stated time.

Nope, not yet! I hear from friends that it could take a minimum of upto 2 to 3 weeks. This is just my 2nd week .From what I heard most people were getting an email within the time frame they were given by the VO.

Nope nothing, the lady interviewed me, she said we will get back to you, I have asked them via email and telephone, but they don't reply, I am not sure what to do. I have been told that after completion of 3 month I can probably open a review as to what the status of the case is so I will wait till december end, lets see what happens.
