soundsgood Posted August 2, 2011 Report Share Posted August 2, 2011 I have a approved I797 till May2013 and recently I changed the client and got LCA for new client. I would like to go for h1b visa stamping by end of this year or next year in first quarter. I would like to do amendment as I changed the client . My question is if I go for amendment, can I get new I797 with validity till May2013 or less than May2013 or more than that. Please let me know if anyone had done h1b amendment. Thank you. naresh3 Posted August 4, 2011 Report Share Posted August 4, 2011 If you do amendment you get new I797 and the validity will be same as the one with previous I-797. But make sure while going for interview carry the amendment document along with I-797, LCA and I-129. Link to comment
