GC Approved. Expired AP while in India.

Because of serious health issues, I returned to India while my 485 is pending and with a valid AP during Exit. But because of continues health issues, I could not travel before my AP expired. Now after 2+ years of my exit from US, I got the 485 approved and GC in my hands.

Is there any thing that I can do to return back? I know I can use this GC and go back but my question is, what chances are there to enter US back without big issues? If POE offices denies my entry, can I still keep my GC with me?? Or they snatch it away from me?? What are the exit procedure if I face problem at POE??

I thought of applying for SB-1. But the primary condition was not satisfied as I was not in US when GC approved. So looking forward to hear similar cases and solutions from this forum.

There will be very few to nil such cases. Talk to a Lawyer. What was the basis of your GC?

Employment Based. I heard from my Friend's company lawyer, that as long as I have a valid offer letter from any employer(Need not be from original GC petitioner), which POE officer may ask, I should be fine as I am already carrying medical records to prove that I was not in a position to travel before AP expired.

He said, she said etc does not help you. You cannot sort this issue without spending money on your own Lawyer. It may mean refiling the GC and opting for CP for example. Spend some money already..in a good cause.
