Can I get H1-B stamp with a photocopy of I-797A form. (Without the Original)

I will be traveling out of US to my home country to get H1-B stamp.

I'm have all my documents but do not have the original I-797A.

I have several photocopies but misplaced the original.

Will I be able to travel and get my H1-B stamped at the US embassy?

Is there a way to get a duplicate I-797A issued before I leave and if so, then how long will that take.

Please do help me find an answer.

Usually it is possible. Read about it in the relevant consulate website. You could also get the employers copy for only this purpose.
