how to upgrade from pending AOS status to family based green card after spouse getting citizenship

Me and my spouse both applied for green card in march of 2006 under scheduleA category, I received my green card in oct 2006 and for my spouse got an RFE, we sent the additional documents then the shedule A category visas are over. Therefore, all the pending 485 are transfered to EB3 category. Now I became citizenship, My question is, how do I upgrade my spouses pending I485 to make it current through family based green card OR do i have to apply a new I485 under famlily based green card catagory?

You file an I-130 and amend the I-485 to use the I-130 as underlying immigrant petition.

Thanks Joef for the reply, do I have to write a letter to amend my previous 485 when I file for 130. Can you please explain me in detail how to proceed. Thanks in advance.
