I just got a mail with a copy of I797 notice from the employer that my application is approved for 3 years. Link to comment

Did the I140 approval happen before your H1B Extn Receipt date(10/17/2011). In my case, both my labour as well as I140 got approved only after filing the H1B Extension(10/27/2011), so I got an extenstion only till the max out period. Thanks Link to comment
