Hi Veeras,

So you got only the letter (221g) to submit your PP and not the return of docs submitted by you earlier.

I got a call from VFS-bglre that there is a courier for me. I cant check it until next week when Iam back in bglre.

Did they ask you for any other documents like LCA, H1B Copy, i-129, copy of DS-160 form; other than submitting the pp on the 221g form? Is this a blue 221g form?

Thank's VIjai.... We called the consulate they said its under process. We dropped the documents at Hyd consulate on Oct 14th and asked them when they received at chennai consulate. They are not willing to provide that information. I will update things...

I have some good news to share! I got the documents from VFS and I have submitted my passport for stamping. Hopefully, should be good to travel to US sometime next week

My case:

Interview: Aug 30, 221(g) given asking for additional documents, no passport taken

Docs submitted: Sep 6th

Docs received from VFS intimating to submit passport: Oct 27th

I had interview on Aug 16 and got 221(g) green they requested documents and I dropped on Sep 8 at Chennai but still did not receive any response.

VO did not written any reference number in 221(g) green from which i got on Oct 17th.

Documents i am going to submit some time in the next week.

Can some one explain, In what way that reference number will help us? do we need that reference number to send the 221(g) documents to consulate?

@vijaisekar. I checked all my document it did not got lost it return back from them. anyways i got same client letter with updated date and submitted it again.

I had my interview on oct 28 chennai.

I received 221g blue form.

EVC Model.

The officer asked for i129,W2,LCA and letter to USCIS for H1B.

then he returned back all the documents except the USCIS Letter. and gave the blue form.

I am not sure whether the officer kept the USCIS letter knowingly or forget to return it back. I realized that the the letter is missing from my docs after coming home.

Did any of you had similar situation.Please let me know.

Got 221g green form after my interview at Chennai consulate. Was interviewed three separate times by different people, in separate cubicles, after my initial window interview with the VO....was asked to sign a sworn statement....finally issued 221g form with all documents checked......

Interview date: 27-Aug-2011.

I checked the courier, it contained all the docs submitted earlier and 221g blue to submit PP alongwith DS-160 confmn, 1-129, LCA and the form.

I have submitted PP with docs.

My case details:

Interview date: 21st Sept 2011 (chennai consulate)

Recd 221g green to submit employer docs, letter to USCIS etc.

Submitted docs : 28th Sept 2011

Received courier : 25th Oct 2011 (221g blue with docs submitted earlier returned)

Submitted PP : 31st Oct 2011.

Why it is Blue form this time? Any idea? Hope it is all done.

@sanera - i m surprised to see that u got response from the consulate in 4 weeks. we both had the interview on the same day n i guess u remember that. i m not sure why u got blue form this time but i believe blue is for administrative processing. was ur client n employer contacted? since u submitted passport this time hope for the best n keep us updated

If you had a blue form where they said 'passport' under the 'other' section then it means the consulate needs the passport for stamping.

I received a similar form like yours..so don't worry. You will get your passport stamped.

Quick question- client address in your I-129 and current LCA matches together?
