astonm
Hello, I am on H1-B visa which will expire in September 2012. I have been working at my company in New York state for last 3 years and I am thinking of asking my employers to process my EB3 Green Card. A brief background about me: a) I am an Indian citizen b) I did my undergraduate here in USA - been here since 2003 c) Graduated in bachelors in 2008 and I have been working at the same company since d) I am also doing my Masters (part-time), so expected graduation is Summer 2012. My dilemma is, I want to find another job (and company) after my Masters (quite possible around fall 2012) or later. But I am still in this company for over a year, so I am wondering if I should ask my employers to sponsor me for an EB3 green card. So essentially my questions are: a) If my employer starts processing now, how long it may take for me to finally get my green card? b) Once I get my green card, can I find another company to work for? c) Can I still find another company to work for when the green card process is going on? The second company can reapply for my green card or I can work for them on H1-B. d) how much it will cost my company to process my green card? Link to comment
