H4 visa stamping in Hyd-221(g) issued

Hello,

I would like share my wife exp on H4 visa interview in Hyderabad

My wife attended interview on 9th Jan 2014 in Hyderabad India.

 

She planned to go Hyderabad three days before the interview for advance submission of the documents but surprisingly the procedure is changed and there no such rule now. The US Hyderabad consulate website is not updated with this info yet.

 

Anyways she had her bio metric appointment on 8th Jan 2014 and it went smooth and attended her visa interview on the following day.

 

Questions

VO : Asked for I-797 form and my wife provided it.

 

VO: How did you meet your husband?

Wife : They are our family friends.

 

VO: How long your husband is working with the current employer.

Wife : its 15 days because he recently joined them.

 

VO : your visa is approved.

 

He did not ask marriage certificate or wedding album ..etc  and none of the documents.

 

My wife got mail in the evening to collect the passport as it is stamped which she collected on 13th Jan.

 

Unfortunately the H4 visa had spelling mistake in my last name. We informed related people in the consulate and they asked us to write an letter and submit the passport along with my I-797 form for correcting my last name in her visa.

I am waiting for updates from them..Fingers crossed.

 

Does anyone know how much time it may take for them to correct the spelling mistake .I am concerned because I have booked her tickets in January 3^rd weeks.
