Is it possible to apply for GC from India on a valid L1A visa

Hello - I am on L1A visa which is valid till Dec 2011, I recently moved back to Inida and working with the same employer. Would it be possible to apply for GC from India as I still have a valid L1A status.

GC is for future employment, even if you don't have any valid visa to US, a potential employer can petition your EB GC.

Generally, one does not have to be in the USA to be sponsored for a Green Card. One seeking a Green Card should consult with an attorney for legal advice. If one has an L1 visa, one may have qualified before as an L1 nonimmigrant and MAY qualify for the "green card version" so-to-speak. However, as the specific requirements vary, one should consult with an attorney before concluding one is / not eligible.
