Change of status from F1 to H1B

Hi,

I cam to U.S on F1 and now I am H1B. I am planning to for Visa stamping. Can someone please advice if I can go to Mexico for first time change of status from F1 to H1B Visa stamping? If so which place is the best one?

@pavan_avnr: You can go to Canada or Mexico. One of my friends changed from F1 to H1 and went to Canada and got successfully stamped. He is non IT and a full time employee.

If Im not wrong you cannot go to any other country than Home country as this is your first time. Reach out to attorney for confirmation, but im prety sure on this
