140 approved with wrong Petitioner Name

I received 140 approval last week and today my attorney contacted me to say that the Petitioner name in the approval notice was my name instead of the company name.

They have contacted USCIS to make the correction.

Has anyone had a similar issue? how long would USCIS take to respond to such change ? I have my H1B extn waiting for this.

There has been a trend of similar issues since the USCIS switched to the Lockbox system for processing I-140s. Your attorney should be able to contact USCIS directly to resolve the issue.

I am in the same situation. I received my approved I-140 with wrong petitioner name. I need to file for my H1b extension before end of feb 2014. can I apply for extension using my I-140 with incorrect petitioner name? Please suggest. I am worried.
