ravishekar
Dear friends, Is birth certificate needed for applying for a permanent residency (say through EB-1b category)? Are other forms of "proof" like 10th standard marks card, GRE score sheet, TOEFL scoresheet, passport, driving license accepted forms of age proof (instead of birth certificate). Thanking you in advance Ravi Link to comment
GcLLC
Talk to your lawyer. In my case my birth certificate did not have my full name. I had to get sworn affidavits from my parents in India. I also submitted my 10th certificate. Link to comment
vnellai
The only primary alternative to birth certificate is notarized affidavits from parents or any other senior person/relative present at the time of birth.Secondary alternative allowed is School record or hospital (where born) record.
