H1B Extension stamping in Bahamas

Hello all,

I am on H1B and planning to visit Bahamas for stamping of my extension. My new I-797 is approved is valid till Oct 2011. I am planning to visit Nassau for stamping and am trying to schedule an appointment. I called the paid service number of the consulate and was told that I have be present physically in Bahamas for even scheduling an appointment. Did anyone do that till now? Please share your recent experiences with visa stamping in bahamas.
