H1 Visa Renewal (Extension stamping)

I have been working for a company since past three years i.e. 2008.

Last year Sep 2010 my visa expired with my current employer and successfully extended until 2013.

I'm planning for a vacation to India, but since my visa is expired, i will have to go for stamping with my family.

Recently, i have also started thinking of exploring the Mexico option (Tijuana,CIDAD juarez,Matamaros), which according to me have high success rate compared to Hyderabad,Chennai consulates.

Can anyone of you guide me through this fix situation with regards to which is more preferable option ?
