Now I am planning to go for stamping with a new employer. The issue is during my time in India I supported my client remotely and also worked on a short term contract here that paid me in the US. In my latest paychecks, the salary is almost double because I got paid for 2 different jobs in the same paystubs. Does anyone see this as an issue or has anyone encountered this? I checked with attorneys and they had said that it is perfectly legal to work outside the US and get paid in the US. It is not an immigration issue, but it is more of a tax issue. You just need to figure out next year how the taxes would be done since it was work done outside the US soil. Link to comment
