samsmith
hello friends, My priority date is fast approaching to file I-485. The problem is that last year my wife got caught shoplifting items less that $50. She was given a arrest notice but not finger printed. Then I hired an attorney and he got her off with a correction class and paying just the court fees without conviction. Now my question is that do I have to mention on the I-485 that she was arrested and if so what document will I have to provide during the filing of I-485 and for the interview. Where can I get these documents ? My attorney told me that if she did the course and paid the court fees it wouldn't show up on her record. It that right ? Please give me some good advise so that I can start preparing. Thanks Link to comment
Belle
Talk to your lawyer - both of them. Most people here never encountered such a problem. Link to comment
