I-140 with Old employer, 485 with new employer

I-140 was filed by company A (2012). Employee moved to company B in 2021. Company B did not file for PERM or I-140 yet, in process of filing. Employee’s final action date became current Nov 2021.

1)     Can company B file for I-485 using Company A I-140 as job roles are similar?

2)     Company B states once step 1 is done they wait for 6 months and then file i-485J? Is that true?

3)     Concurrently company B will file PERM/I-140 as well.

4)     If above steps 1 & 2 are done, and for some reason USCIS rejects the petition, what happens to the employee Priority date?

5)     As Employee’s final action date became current in Nov 2021, is there any rule about time frame that a I-485 petition had to be filed on the employee behalf within 1 Year? What happens if the company B did not file any petition till Jan 2023, will the employee loose the Priority date ?
