Rutuja
I am currently on F1-OPT until June 2022. I work for a non-profit research hospital organization. They are not ready to file for my F1-OPT STEM extension and are going to file for my Non-Profit H1B this year. When in the future I want to work for a profit organization how can I get the profit H1B? Is the process of moving from Non-profit H1B to a profit H1B difficult? And what timelines should I consider during this switch? Is there any way I can negotiate with my current organization to wait and not file for my non-profit H1B? I appreciate all suggestions and answers. Thank you very much in advance for your help! Quote Link to comment
JoeF
To work for a for-profit company on H1 you would have to get an H1 in the yearly quota. His for non-profits don't fall under the quota. Quote Link to comment
