Suggestions to get the passport

Hello friends, 

This forum helped me a lot. Thanks to the forum. 
I have a small question regarding my parents passport. My dad’s ssc certificate there is a letter mistake (instead of one letter another letter has there). Where in all other documents like pan.,aadhar,DL is proper name . 
will it become a problem while applying passport and visa ? 
 

can anyone suggest me to change the name as the ssc name as in the pan or aadhar card.?

will it fine to apply to passport without changing it ?
