H4 filing I485: Application Type?

Hi everyone,

I am on H1B now. My wife is on H4. I140 is approved for me and I have the receipt number for it. I am now filing I485 for myself.

If I understand correctly, I will also fill another I485 for my wife as a derivative applicant with its own fee and everything. And for the Application Type part of the document, should I select:

• The same as me which is Employment-based Alien Worker I140?
• Other and write Spouse of I-140 beneficiary in the field?
• Other and write H4?

Can someone please confirm that for me?

For those of you, I have selected "Other" for my wife and typed "MY SPOUSE APPLIED FOR ADJ OF STATUS". Let's see how that's gonna work out. I will write here when I hear the response from USCIS.
