Sasi333
Hello Everyone, I was on L1B which expired end of july 2021. So I had to resign my job with company A. I applied H4 COS based on my wife's h1B. My H1B was picked in second lottery on July 29th and my former company A agreed to rehire me and applied or H1B got approved in October first week. They are finding ways to rehire me and the process may take some time. I was told there are no deadlines for starting work. Is there any deadline for me to start working on H1B. Does the H1B 60 days grace period apply in this scenario ? Thank you! Sasi Edited October 10, 2021 by Sasi333 ending Quote Link to comment
JoeF
You have up to 60 days to report to work for the employer. Once you make yourself available to the employer you need to get paid. After 60 days the employer absolutely has to pay you (or lay you off.) This is define in 20CFR655.731. Quote Link to comment
