AnushaG Posted August 10, 2021 Report Share Posted August 10, 2021 I need help with one of the query I have regarding the OPT stem extension RFE that I received. I filed for opt extension in the last week of March as my initial opt is going to expire on May 2021. I received an RFE in July 2021 asking for “Employment History”. Last day to submit the RFE related supporting documents are by second week of September 2021. Meanwhile I filed for H1B and my application got picked and is approved and is effective from October 1st 2021. Question: Do I need to respond to the opt stem extension RFE or Can I ignore as we have automatic extension of 180days while opt is pending for approval? Request you to please help me in this.
