Atomant Posted August 5, 2021 Report Share Posted August 5, 2021 I applied for my mom's extension of stay. In the application letter I requested for extension of 5 months ( 17th Aug 2021). She gave her biometrics on 2nd July and since then there has been no update from USCIS. Should my mom have to leave the country on 17th Aug as per the requested date on our application cover letter or can she stay the whole 6 months and leave 17th Sep ? Does anyone know how USCIS approves extensions? do they extend the stay period as per requested date or do they give a standard 6 month extension? Quote Link to comment
