H4 visa application before marriage

Hello, 

I have few questions around H4 visa. My would-be is on H1B and we are planning to get married in 2 months. We will be scheduling the interview post our marriage but had some questions. 

- Will I be able to apply for the visa right now, before the marriage and schedule the interview after the marriage? 

- If yes, what shall I put as my marital status? I was wondering if I could put "others" and mention the wedding date in the explanation. 

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you!
