Paramashiva 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2021 Hello, The applicant is a H1 holder, and had recently got his GC. If the applicant want to maintain the GC and do not have the intent to get a citizenship; will the restriction of living in US for more than 6 months apply? or are there any exemptions where the applicant can just visit for a month or 2 every year and still can hold the GC intact? Please advise. Share this post Link to post
JoeF 7 Report post Posted July 29, 2021 A GC holder has to live in the US. It is called Permanent Residency for a reason. All trips abroad have to be temporary in nature, e.g., vacations. It is not and has never been enough to just visit once in a while. That is a sure way to lose the GC. Share this post Link to post
