First time H1b stamping in Canada

Hi, 

I came to the U.S for Masters in 2014, I am about to finish my PhD in a year. I am working full time for my university(state employee - IT job), I am on H1-B and my I-140 has been approved. I need to travel to India in a few months but the consulate in India is indefinitely closed. 

My background:
I have lived in the United States for 6 years, finished my masters here and finishing my PhD soon. I am an Indian citizen, lived and studied until Bachelor's in India. 

Will I be able to get my visa stamped in Canada? Will there be any problems? (first time visa stamping)

Hi Karthik,

Did you get your first H1b visa stamped from Canada ? If yes, could you please share your experiences ?

I have the same background as yours and I need to get my first H1b stamping done from Canada. I have also applied for Canada's visitor visa which is currently in progress.
