Priority Date Current for > 1 Year & GC not applied

Hi there, 

Is it possible to pursue my green card when the priority date has been current for more than a year now? OR will the USCIS abandon my application?

I'm currently in Canada and was planning to stay here for a while  and then decide if I want to go back to US. So I just wanted to know how much I will have in hand after my priority date becomes current. 

My priority date is July 15th 2013 in EB3 category. And I'm certain it will become current in the upcoming visa bulletin.

I'm in the same boat. My Priority date is already current. I cannot apply for more than 2 years from now. Please let me know if I need to inform USCIS about this. ? Or please let me know if you hear anything about your case.
