H4/EAD extension while H1B pending

Hello,

I received my H1B extension receipt notice so I am working on filing for dependents H4 and EAD extension. I dont know about the expiration date of my H1b will be so I can use that for H4 and EAD (for this section: " I/We request that my/our current or requested status be extended until (mm/dd/yyyy)").

Do I have to wait for H1B approval notice for the expiration date?

I guess no. I am not an immigration attorney but I guess you can roughly give 3 years from H4 expiry...

I would say YES.

You can still apply for it but it will not get approved unless you receive an actual approval on your extension application

Your employer should have filed for extension for all three i.e. H1b, H4 + H4 EAD simultaneously.
