EAD from H4 is still processing, but my EB1's I-140 Approved

Hello Everyone,

I am on H1B and my wife is on H4. In February this year, we applied for her H4 EAD renewal but it is still not approved.  My EB2's I-140 was approved in 2015.

Recently, my EB1's I-140 was approved. So I am going to submit my I-485 for change of status, I-765 for my EAD, and I-131 for my advance parole. I am confused about my wife's case. I am having questions like:

1. Will it be necessary for my wife to apply for EAD again or will it be an optional step?

2. If it is necessary to apply for my wife's EAD how can I let USCIS know that my wife's EAD application is pending with them?

Any good resource that you could direct me to will be highly appreciated.
