H-1B old petition expires in August 2021 , Extension Approved, Planning for Interview in July 2021

Hello,

• My F1 Visa Expired, H-1B old petition expires in August 2021, NO H-1b Visa Stamping
• I797 Extension Approved - Aug 2021 to Aug 2024
• I am planning to go for H-1B Visa Interview in the month of July 2021 and return the same month.
• Which petition should I use for Ds-160? If I use New petition, will there be an issue during Port of Entry since my Valid dates are in the future?

Since you will be back in July 2021 I feel you can use I797 Extension Approved - Aug 2021 to Aug 2024 . Lets see what others say...

I also think new petition, so you can get a visa with validity until 2024.  At POE, if needed, show both the H1b Approvals (original copies).
