hg12
I am interested in finding out what happens to pending non-immigrant visa extension cases after a green card is approved. I am in a very strange situation right now (detailed below) and need some advice. Situation - I was on a L2 visa that was valid until November 2020 and I filed Form I-539 in June 2020 to extend my non-immigrant (L2) status. At that time I also had a pending green card application that was approved in October 2020 and I got my green card too a few days later. Today (April 2021) I got a notice from USCIS to appear for my biometrics in response to my Form I-539 application (L2 extension) ! I am totally confused as I assumed that USCIS should have stopped processing my L2 extension when my green card was approved. My question here is what should I do with this notice. Can I simply ignore this ? Should I inform USCIS ? Any guidance on this will help. Quote Link to comment
