PK1705 Posted March 24, 2021 Report Share Posted March 24, 2021 Hi All, I am on H1B visa (residing in USA) and working as a software engineer. My wife is a homemaker and she is in H4. We are expecting our second baby and last week my wife was admitted to the hospital for an emergency health issue. She is still in hospital and there is no confirmed discharge date. I need to take care of my wife and my 7-year-old kid. Hospital is not allowing my kid as a visitor and I am having a hard time finding people for babysitting due to COVID. I want to bring my mother-in-law to help us in this situation and not able to find any b2 visa appointment in Chennai or Hyderabad. Shall I file her visa under the emergency visa category? Will this situation is eligible for applying for an emergency visa? Please kindly suggest. Quote Link to comment
