sidsarma
Hi Team, I work in the US for a FAANG company and my wife works for the same FAANG company in India. She applied for a B2 visa to visit me but the officer rejected her visa and asked her 3 times why she isn't applying for H4 visa. Not sure on what grounds the visa was rejected but I had 2 questions: 1. If she applies for H4 visa will she need to quit her job? She doesn't want to quit her job but wants to wait for L1 visa. That may take some time because of the pandemic. So, can she apply for H4 visa and use it to travel back and forth? She of course won't work while she is here in the US/ will be on vacation. Once she travels back to India she will continue to work for her current company and then use the H4 visa to visit me till she gets her L1 approved. 2. If she needs to transfer to L1 after H4 will that be a problem? Thanks, Sid Edited March 15, 2021 by sidsarma Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
She should apply for an H4 visa. Her job is not the business of the VO. She does not have to leave it. If she qualifies, she should get the L1 visa in the future. Quote Link to comment
