H4 I94 expired due to passport expiry

My kids H4 extension till 2022 February.We travelled to India and applied for visa. Visa approved  till February 2022.

 While coming to US r my kids I94 approved till 2021 January because they matched with passport expiry date. I verified today my kids passport expired on 11^th January 2021 and I94 expired on same date.

 Can someone please help me with the next steps? Can I go ahead apply for passport renewal?
