mggowtham25
Hi, I'm planning on a trip to India. While coming back to the USA should I consider only United or Air India flights or is it safe to travel in any middle east county flights like Emirates, Qatar, or Etihad airways in this pandemic situation? Please let me know. Your help is greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
AbsurdObservant
I believe the layover or risk in middle east countries should be assessed individually. Qatar does not essentially behave like how Emirates does because they are two different countries & have a completely variable profile on COVID-19 restrictions. Based on what i have researched, Qatar for example is as safe as United or Air India are (at this point of time) given the fact that you are going to carry a TEST result which should show that you are negative or have overcome COVID-19 along with you during the time of boarding to the US from wherever! If the flights are on to and back from these countries to India & US on the two sides, you should be good with the test/status results. Hope this helps!! Quote Link to comment
