shital patil Posted January 29, 2021 Report Share Posted January 29, 2021 Background : Husband has I140 approved from his current employer and he was in the USA on h1b from 2014 but currently he is in India because his latest petition got approved until 31 December 2019, it was handed on 14 Jan 2020. His employer asked him to travel immediately to home country because he was out of status.Wife - On H1B since 2018, currently in the USA.Now due to COVID and Trump proclamation, his employer is not ready to fill his extension. He got his H4 stamping done. Question - Is it possible or allowed to travel on H4 and search for a job/employer who can fill his new petition/ change of status based on his I-140 approval.
