engratcorner
Hello everyone, My current H1 expires in 4 months and I got I-140 approved a month ago, so my employer filed for an extension (premium). Can I travel to India right after I get my H1-Extension approval? or Do I wait until my current H1 expires? Basically, if I get the extension approval, does the visa officer at Consulate consider a newly approved visa or an old visa that expires in 4 months? Thanks a lot, Quote Link to comment
adshah84
You can travel once your H1b is approved. Quote Link to comment

Zodiac System
Travel to India and return back before the old visa expires. (Heard that there are lot of issues in stamping due to COVID-19). Show your latest original H1b approval document at immigrations on your way back, so you will get an I-94 stamp based on your new H1b expiry date. Hope your Passport has enough validity to accommodate the new I-94 date. Edited February 2, 2021 by Zodiac System Quote Link to comment

Yes, I renewed my passport last year. So, that should be alright. Thank you all for your response. Quote Link to comment
