H4 Biometrics received after H1b approval

Hi,

I applied for H1b extension along with my wife H4 extension in April 2020, I got my H1b approved in June 2020, My wife was waiting for H4 biometric appointment her H4 was valid till Aug 31 2020. Meanwhile she was working on on H4EAD and her employer filed for H1b. Her H1b got approved on Oct 1 2020 with change of status from H4 to H1b. 

Now in Jan 2021 she has received notice to appear for H4 biometric. Since her status is already changed from H4 to H1b, why she has received H4 biometric now ?. If she appear for H4 biometric, will her status wont change back to H4 again?. 

I called to USISC they ask to cancel H4 petition, but my question is her H4 was valid till Aug 31 and her H1b was approved from Oct 1. If we cancel H4 petition does it mean she is out of status for September 2020?. Can some one please suggest.

Do you have my updates? We are in the exact same situation.

The employer’s lawyer recommended we send a withdrawal letter to USCIS to withdraw the h4, which we had already done back in November. However we still got the biometric appointment for the H4 a few days ago.

I moved from H4 to H1B on January 7th. Also send the H4 withdrawal letter to USICS on Jan 3rd week. Now I got the biometric appointment .  Should I skip the biometric appointment?
