aygpt63
I am on H1B. I recently travelled to India without realizing that I had overstayed beyond the I-94 expiry in the USA by 1.5 months. My H1B stamp and the I-94 on I-797A are still valid until Sept 2021, but my CBP I-94 expired on Sept 2020 due to old passport and I never applied for extension when I renewed the passport. 1. Can I try contacting CBP to try and get online I-94 updated with the I-797A expiry date of Sept 2021? 2. I heard that another option is to get new H1B stamping in India.....but visa rejection chances are quite high ...so any other alternative that could be helpful? Thanks in advance. 02112018
Option 2 is right. When you overstayed you are done. Quote Link to comment
