beyondsky012
Hello, My former employer filed the lawsuit against me saying they are having company losses after I joined the end client. i was working like (former company - > vendor B —> Vendor C —> end client ). My former company, it's Desi consultancy which is located in New Jersey, after working more than two years with a former company with the same client from day one, I resigned and joined an end-client which is in California. Please advise on this. I am on an H1B visa and want to know if any impact will be on my visa status in future. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
The lawsuit has nothing to do with your future H1 career. Run the contract by a Labor Lawyer in NJ and see what he says. This is your first step. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
Did you sign a non-compete agreement? In general ,non-compete agreements are not valid in California, as per the CA Supreme Court. You need to discuss your situation with a good immigration lawyer. Quote Link to comment
