Applying for F1-OPT STEM EAD card while AOS-EAD is under processing

Hi,

I am currently on F1-OPT  that ends on Jan 20, 2021. I want to apply for F1-OPT STEM extension. However, my spouse who is on H1-B, recently applied for AOS and our EAD/AP card is under processing. 

Can you please let me know if I can apply for OPT-STEM EAD card while my AOS-EAD card is under processing?
