Last correspondence I received was that their case is been sent to Mumbai consulate in April. I did not hear anything after that. I guess immigrant visa interviews are not happening right now due to visa restrictions. My parents already have B1/B2 visa which is valid for next 6 years. My question is can they travel to US on B1/B2 visa with current situation ? I will appreciate any help / response. Thanks Quote Link to comment
JoeF Posted October 22, 2020 Report Share Posted October 22, 2020 A B2 does not allow immigration intent. The I-130, though, shows immigration intent. If they travel they have a high risk of being denied entry. Sometimes the border officers admit people on B2 even though they have an I-130, but again, most of the time they don't.
