amansharma01
hi, Due to family emergency i am planning to go to india for 3 weeks, but wanted to clarify few things before i plan. I am on H1b visa which is valid till Aug 2021. My passport has the previous visa that had expiration on Feb 18, 2019. Based on the current interview waiver extension (24 months), it seems like i will qualify for interview waiver. In that case i wanted to know whether 3 weeks will be sufficient to get my visa stamped via drop-box facility or should i plan for 4 weeks. I would need to schedule an appointment with VFS office in my hometown. Will i be allowed to go to VFS office right after i land in India (in 1 or 2 days) or will i be asked to self-quarantine for few weeks and only then i can schedule? I (or my family) do not have covid and i can get myself tested before going to India. I am ok to quarantine, but then i lose few weeks and it can lead to delay in getting the passport back before my planned return date. Please advise. Thanks!
