Dad passed away, travel to India. Need to go H1B stamping

Recommended Posts

My H1B 6 years validity is until sep 2021 but this year when i changed the employer i got my new H1B for next 3 years that is until 2023 which is 2years more than the usual 6 years time period with no I-140.

Since i have H1B petition for more than 6 years, what would be the new visa validity?

I have to go to stamping what is the probability of getting the Visa or until the new H1B validity?

My new employer has started the green card process and applying for labor.

What are the pros and cons?

What is the embassy interview slot availability?

What are the pros ?

You should be able to get the visa if all the documentation and your prepare right

What are the cons?

Due to covid and new rules and regulations - No body can predict what's going to happen to their life. Coin can flip anytime if we cross the country

What is the embassy interview slot availability?

Unless you pay, it won't you the visa dates, if you know anyone who already paid and scheduled interview, can help you tell you the availablity.

Since i have H1B petition for more than 6 years, what would be the new visa validity? --- I feel during visa stamping they will do cross check and will giev only upto 6 years visa validity.

what is the probability of getting the Visa or until the new H1B validity? --- sorry we cannot  guess. If everything good they will give as per applicable law. My advise do not have blind hope beyond 6 years without I140.

What are the pros and cons? -- more generalized questions to answer. Please do research and talk to your friends.

What is the embassy interview slot availability? -- Please do research. As of now, embassies are not entertain visa interview. Please pay the fees so that you can look for yourself and answer this to others.

I am sorry for your father loss. May his soul rest in peace.
