dfbanks
I'd like to sponsor my sister (a Pakistani citizen who is also a permanent resident in Australia) for a family preference immigrant visa (F4). Does applying as an Australian resident expedite the process in anyway? Is the priority date different if she applies as an Australian resident vs. as a Pakistani citizen? The visa bulletin lumps all chargebility areas (except for India, China, Brazil, Mexico, and Phillipines) under one category. But wanted to see if in reality there is a variance in the processing time between all other countries. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
No. All US immigration processing is based on country of birth. Edited September 17, 2020 by JoeF Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
The PD would be 14 years down the line. The processing will take mere months and then the wait for the PD. This is for everyone. Quote Link to comment
