Nitin Bansal Posted September 5, 2020 Report Share Posted September 5, 2020 Hello All, Here is my situation: I have currently under my 24 month extension (STEM OPT). I was effected by lay off at my company, and got a job in last remaining 7 days of my grace period. Due to some missing document my University could not update my SEVIS status (unemployed---> employed) in the next 15 days, and My new company missed my (first) payroll. Now, Since, I was not on the payroll, I effectively exhausted my 7 days of grace period too. Is there any way out of this situation, where I can still maintain my F1 status. Quote Link to comment
