I have now applied for change of status to H4, pending approval for H4 and EAD. For one to get unemployment benefits, the unemployment agency requires “Alien to be in satisfactory immigration status and permitted to work by the USCIS”. Can I claim for state unemployment benefits? Thank you. Quote Link to comment
