F1-status related issue - URGENT

Hi,

I did my MS from an university and got an offer to continue in the same university for a PhD. I accepted the offer and worked for a month on-campus after my MS as it's legal to work on campus if I intend to transition to a higher degree in the same University.  However a couple of weeks before starting the PhD I decided to defer my admission to a later semester due to some personal reasons. I want to know did I violate my F1 status by any chance by working on campus during the period after my MS ?  I deferred my admission only after my on campus employment ended and during the employment period I was supposed to continue for a PhD.  It's an urgent issue and I would be grateful if someone can respond!
