Arun C Posted July 31, 2020 Report Share Posted July 31, 2020 Background: My H1 through my previous employer was valid till Aug 2021. Tied to this my spouse's H4 EAD is also valid till Aug 2021. I have recently changed employers and H4 EAD was not filed by the attorney. My new H1 is valid till Mar 2023. Her H4 is also approved and is valid till Mar 2023. Question: In this situation, can I apply for my spouse's EAD (that will be associated with my new H1) at this time? or do I have to wait till I get within the 180 days of expiration to file it? Given the recent delays, I would like to get ahead and use this time to apply if I can. Any input in this matter is greatly appreciated! Quote Link to comment
